We are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for everyone involved in Octopipe. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior and the steps we will take to address unacceptable conduct.

Our Pledge

In the interest of creating an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and maintainers pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone. We are dedicated to providing a positive, safe, and inspiring experience for all, regardless of:

Expected Behavior

  • Respect: Treat everyone with respect. Engage in thoughtful discussions and be open to diverse perspectives.

  • Constructive Feedback: Offer feedback in a constructive and courteous manner. Focus on ideas and improvements rather than personal criticisms.

  • Responsibility: Accept accountability for your actions and be willing to learn and grow from feedback.

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to:
  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any community member.
  • Discriminatory remarks or hate speech targeting any individual or group.
  • Personal attacks or insults.
  • Trolling or deliberately disruptive behavior.
  • Unwanted sexual attention or advances.
  • Any other behavior that creates an unsafe or hostile environment.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you experience or witness any unacceptable behavior, please report it immediately. Reports can be made by:
  • Sending an email to conduct@octopipe.io
  • Opening an issue on our GitHub repository (please note that this option may be public)
  • Contacting a community moderator directly
All reports will be treated with confidentiality and seriousness. We will investigate all reports and take appropriate action, which may include:
  • A warning or temporary ban
  • Permanent removal from the community
  • Other corrective measures deemed necessary
